In 1965 "The Girls," an all girl rock band, was sponsored by Fender and had two singles, "Chico's Girl" (lyrics by Weil
and Mann) and "My Baby" (lyrics by Margaret Sandoval) released by Capital Records. "The Girls" toured the Far East,
which included performing for the troops in Vietnam. They also toured the U.S., Hawaii, and Canada playing on the same
bill with "The Byrds," "The Lovin' Spoonful," "The Yardbirds," "The Who," "The Association," "The Young Rascals" and the "Righteous
